The Potsdamer Gesellschaft für transatlantischen Dialog offers exchange programs, conferences and cultural events for residents of the new federal states who are interested in learning more about the USA.
The best way to achieve an authentic and unbiased view of the USA is through personal experience. The role of the Potsdamer Gesellschaft is to offer programs to this end. Participation and the formation of judgments and opinions is the responsibility of those who actively engage themselves in the programs. The overriding principle of the Potsdamer Gesellschaft is the principle of voluntary action. In this sense, the programs that are currently being developed by the Potsdamer Gesellschaft truly function as a “gateway.”
